A quick update on Twitter’s shift to X, Threads, rate limits, and creator monetization.

Social MediaOpinion

In April, I shared the article "X = Monopoly". A lot has changed since then, and things have happened that this is probably my last article on Substack, or ever in a blogging website.

So much has happened since April that I guess I can't write, this will be just a micro-summary.

Actually, it all started in late-June. Elon Musk announced that they have brought a tweet reading limit (a.k.a rate limit) to Twitter. Then the ability to browse Twitter without signing-up was removed. Users was pissed of at that point, and exactly at that moment, the owner of social Monopoly, Mark Zuckerberg, has introduced a Twitter-rival app called Threads. The app got its peak way too fast. It was easy to log into the application, you could automatically register on the platform with your Instagram account. While everything was good, it was forgotten faster than the speed of it reached its peak. After that, Twitter introduced a program called Ad Revenue sharing, and creators on Twitter are now earning a living directly from the ads shared in their Tweets. Creators earned up to $30K.

In an instant, Elon joined @greg16676935420's Space and said he was indeed going to change Twitter's logo, and he did.

Now, Twitter's logo is 𝕏, its name is X, and x.com redirects to twitter.com and twitter.com will redirect to x.com soon.

So many upcoming features for 𝕏. I said "This is probably my last article on Substack, or ever in a blogging website." İn the beggining, that's because 𝕏 will soon launch an Articles section for writers, called Notes.

As I said, there are many more happened but that's just a micro-summary. Follow me on 𝕏 (formerly known as Twitter) to know my live reactions about new features, and follow @xDaily to don't miss any update! ❤️
